Finalized student schedules will be available for pickup on August 24 at Student Orientation. Schedule change requests need to be emailed to Anisa Parks ( [email protected] ). Please include student’s first and last name and grade along with the request. Schedule change requests are not guaranteed as they are based on class size availability and student need. The last day for student schedule changes for Term 1 will be September 12.

STUDENT ORIENTATION: I look forward to meeting each of you during our Student Orientation on August 24th. Student Orientation is the day for students to check off some really important items from their lists. Items like…

●Pick up class schedules and locker assignments

●Take a tour of the school and find your classes

●Drop off your school supplies in your locker

●Get School and Yearbook pictures taken & purchase a Yearbook (To order pictures, go online to Mylifetouch.com and enter in the Picture Day ID number (LS228131Q0 ) to order 10 days prior, on picture day, or up to 48 hours after picture day. We will also have picture packets available at Student Orientation.)

●Update student registration information &/or turn in updated immunizations

●Purchase an ASB card &/or Warrior Gear

●Turn in Sports Physical and get clearance card for Fall Athletics

●Pick up EMS Football gear (7th and 8th graders only)

FALL ATHLETICS: Competitive athletics begin before the first day of school. We offer Football for 7th-8th grade boys and girls, Fastpitch for 7th- 8th grade girls, and Cross Country for 6th-8th grade boys and girls. Health clinics book up quickly this time of year, so please schedule your sports physical soon. Documentation of a sports physical is required and is valid for two years. Registration for Fall athletics are done through both Skyward Student and Family Access beginning on August 13. Computers will be available at Student Orientation for sign-ups if you need assistance.

BACKPACKS & SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Out of concern for student and staff safety and to reinforce the use of binders for organization, students will be required to keep their backpacks and lunch bags in their lockers during the school day, so please avoid purchasing large or wheeled backpacks. Instead, students will be required to bring their binder from class to class. Class texts will be kept in the classroom or will be accessed online, so students will not be required to check out textbooks. Students may use their lockers between classes and after lunch to get supplies.

Now is the time to take advantage of the great school supply sales out there. Individual teachers may request additional supplies.
